This stuff is game changing--Just follow the directions & your bike looks & sounds like it has a brand new chain all the time. The wiping is important I think-You have to remove the dirt occasionally to keep things smooth.

Correct!!! Trust me, just wipe your sideplates with a pure cotton rag after each ride. It's no big whoop.

Helps. If I take the properties of Tri-flow and compare. They are completely different lubes. PTFE with a mineral oil carrier...so basically the PTFE is doing the business of lubrication. NFS is heavier but not by much and appears to far exceed the most important properties (wear/flow/load) altho load is weird because PTFE has some unique properties. I'll go out on a limb and say that NFS would work well. If you have some time on your hands and can wait I'll do some in-house testing. Despite my training as a scientist I still can't get past field testing for these things....yeah on paper NFS should work really well for your bearings or star ratchets and similar applications where a "light lube" that does not gum up and flows in cold temps is required. I digress...let me know.

Who is getting big road miles out of NFS? I just relubed after 500 miles (450 dry + 50 wet) no squeaks and did not hear the chain "whir" that tells me it is time for lube.

I've heard and seen some wild MTN bike intel from NFS customers who are riding endurance events in awful conditions and the NFS is holding up like nothing else out there. Feel free to add new data / pics.

*NOTE* This is not a contest and I do not recommend pushing chains to their limit, it's safer and best practice to lube before you need to.

Thanks for that Josh, I'm going to field test it myself, it's pretty tough to harm ceramic ball bearings so I think the only downside would be drag.... which isn't a consideration in the real world.

400+ dry miles and 35+ wet miles and still quiet.

The hardest part at first is not putting on too much. Man it goes a looooong way.

So far I've put one application on the road bike and have done maybe 200kms. Did the wipe down and its still silky smooth.

The mtb I put way too much on first go and couldn't help myself to put a few drops on before I went out yesterday. It's probably had 4 hours in fine dust. I did an aggressive wipe down when I got home and used a paint brush to get rid of what little build up was on the cassette and chainrings. It does not collect dirt much at all which is good. I'm not on the dusty tail of someone else in a race though. Keen to see in a couple of weeks how it goes in race conditions. I'll give it a good look before the race and see if it needs any which will have another four to five rides on it by then.

I was at a regional downhill over the weekend up at Blue Mountain. No one there had heard of NFS. Now some of the Pros and Cat. 1s have. Sample was snagged by the third place Pro and a couple of the Cat. ones from Vermont. The lubes those guys use are all over the place. They seem to just use whatever's handy ... or not. I heard a number of noisy and dry chains up there. Just spreading word.
