Love this project, guys. Can't wait for the unveiling and watch these ladies f-fly!
Curious, Tyler, wondering if you learned anything new making all these bikes for the team. Likely not since 1. they're custom and the angles/tubes/preferences are what are needed 2. with all your experience over the years making bikes for all different folks, this is prob no different. Thought I'd just ask though.

Logistics. Learned a lot about logistics.
Still learning.
Just wait until you see the kits, the website, the luggage, the food, the drinks and the ADVENTURES!
This is going to be a gift that keeps on giving.
Stay tuned :: late March.

If you are on a real adventure, you had better know your equipment.

First adventure won't be very far from home, but I promise, it'll be an adventure. Those new whips fit mtb tires, right?

First adventure is in Virginia this weekend, first local adventure will be your ronde. We will judge the conditions when it is time to judge the conditions, best we can do.... also, no...mtb tires will not fit on the adventure bikes.... So, hoping for the best. It's all good.
Nobody ever said adventure was supposed to be easy.
Ronde! Ronde! Ronde!

Some of us are in VA funny enough. Any hints as to what you're doing to root for the team?
Wouldn't involve Monster Cross in Richmond, would it?

Ah man, I was planning on being in Richmond for monster cross this weekend. Instead of giving a high five to ya'll (southern inflection emphasized) I'm working all weekend. Guess that's this weeks grump too.

Monster Cross it is! The kits/website/etc... aren't ready yet so it wont be an official "full-on" team event, just getting the equipment and the women a little seasoned for other upcoming events.

Are you going to be there? If so, I'd like to say hi. I'll look for the awesome bikes.

[selfish mode]Although I think the whole adventure thing is cool as hell, since I'm in the queue for a Firefly I have to ask: what impact has this program had on building customer bikes?[\selfish mode]

Good question Greg,
We put these bikes into the queue as we would any other bike, many months ago. We spaced the production of these bikes out over a couple of months so as to still ship bikes to customers while making them. Like everything we do, we put the customer first. It wasn't like we just decided to build them and bumped paying customers farther down the line. Lead times given are all still on track for the next 11 months of production as they were when we started building the team bikes. Because we did a bunch of the work (not all) after hours the impact was actually less than we thought it would be... and actually, making 6 bikes that are relatively similar isn't that big of a deal for us.
Hope that helps to answer your question, if not ask away.
I look forward to building you bike!
Tyler
