Default Poll regarding wearing an apron when you cook

Had some discussion at work today regarding men that cook and if they wear aprons. Based on my very small sample, about 50% of men own an apron but only about 30% of them wear it on even a semi regular basis. Of the ones that wear one, about 1/2 of them only wear it when grilling.

I wanted to widen my audience:

If you own more than 1 I would be interested in hearing how many.

I wear a tea towel. It is a little disturbing at first but you get used to it.

I don't own an apron. Also, yesterday, I screwed up mashed cauliflowers, which is the easiest thing to cook in the world, so perhaps I don't deserve an apron. But I would like an apron - then I could cook without changing out of my work clothes when I get home. But yeah, don't own one.

I do cook, I don't apron. Not against it, just don't currently do it.

I usually cook in jeans or dickies and a T-shirt so I don't normally bother with an apron, though I do own a few.

As a man, just don't cook naked. Too dangerous.

Own two courtesy of a Viking cooking class. Wear them maybe once a year when I try to bake something, in order to keep flour off me. Mostly my kids use them. I'll cook in anything except business attire but prefer chaps and a Devo tee shirt.

Wear one to carve the Thanksgiving/Christmas turkey because to keep the grease off my clothes. Wear one when working on the bikes in my basement shop for the same reason. Otherwise no, but, as Seinfeld said- "not that there's anything wrong with that."

I wear an apron 75percent of the time. But, I usually do it to keep my clothes from getting the food dirty. I cook a lot, and get dirty as shit at work. So, my wife kinda requires it. Plus it says " eff the cook". Not really, but I wish it did.

I own close to a dozen and they were all made by my mom. Thus, I'm pretty much obligated to wear them.

I wear one any time I handle meat or bake.

    Your point?????

Nah not naked, the tea towel is always over my left shoulder. Any apron would appear to be a mini-skirt on me and we both know I don't have the legs for it.

When I cooked for a living I always wore an apron. I never wear one when cooking at home.
When I wrenched for a living I always wore an apron. I always wear one when wrenching at home.

I have no idea what that means.

It means you need two of these- I have a black one for the bike bench and a red one for the kitchen. Righteous.

Wore one when I was a chef. I never wear one at home. Hopefully no one will google cooking accidents due to not wearing an apron. I wouldn't want to be responsible for someone's misfortune.
