Avoiding Hazardous Material shipping surcharges
Just thought I'd pass on a way to save a few bucks. I just did a big flux order from gasflux. I originally ordered a 35# pail of U and 15# pail of H. The guy called me back and said UPS was going to charge 50 bucks for hazardous material charges. He said anything over 10 pound containers is subject to a buck a pound fee. He suggested shipping me cases of 12 1# jars at the same cost and no fee. Sounded like a winner to me. The stuff will keep better sealed in 1# jars too. Hope this comes in handy for y'all.

sometimes we are our own worst enemy.
Your advice holds true for most hazardous materials...
