I snagged a hoop on a bathroom towel in 1998, and haven't worn them since. Not worth the trouble. I still think a simple silver hoop looks super cool, but my sense of fashion never really matured beyond the 90s.

I got mine pierced when I was 10...Berlin I think...to piss of my parents. They didn't care. So I took it out.

Two holes in the left ear, one in the right, all done in the mid-80's. I've occasionally stuck one of my wife's earrings in there to see if the holes still work. Also occasionally consider going back to wearing something, but not sure if I'm feeling it anymore.
