Last 24 hours have been awesome-

My boys let me sleep in until 7am on Christmas day, even though I heard them up at 5am.
Watched my kids open presents and then built Legos with them, took the dog on a long walk, played games, watched movies and just kicked back.
My sister in law was supposed to come over for Christmas dinner but she had the flu so my wife made a care package and I delivered Christmas dinner to her house along with presents for her family- got to watch my niece open presents. It was nice playing Santa.
Got about 6" of snow last night (which my boys are thrilled about) and even though I'm working today there was absolutely nobody on the roads driving in- and my workload today is pretty light so I'm a happy camper.

I had such a good Friday I couldn't be bothered to post. Surfed for the first time ever, and actually didn't suck, bought fresh Kona coffee direct from the roasters, grilled ahi by the pool... Hawaii.

Friday is here. I'm working a 1/2 day on the phone and a full day in my shop. I've got some welding to do, a fork to build and continue with the shop renovation. And hey, I may even have a burrito for lunch. Tomorrow I may head off on the moto for an all day adventure health permitting.

I'm at the airport after a very long week and heading home. My wife has tomorrow off work and after a week away I'll get a rare two day weekend with my favorite person. Stoked.

Actually - since they stay down the street from us instead of with us in our house, it's much less stressful.

Granted it's just to Moline, IL, but I'm getting on a plane for the first time in several years. I love travel, and especially flying.

The trip is business - an interview about which I'm quite excited.

I should also have time to meet up with a riding buddy from across the hall (though no riding) and stop by the Blue Cat brewpub where they hopefully still cure their own super thick super delicious bacon and put it on BLTs and the like.

For about 10 minutes yesterday I was grumpy about this broken right foot and my inability to get around well. Too many vets have come back from war missing a limb; too many accidents happen; and too many kids are born with disabilities to be bothered for more than a minimum amount of time because they will not get use of their limbs ever. It's Friday and the grumps can suck it. Live it up this weekend and make it a great one.

I am very excited, as my invitation to speak at an Orencia (MY RA drug of choice) sales conference is official. I have been an Orencia Patient ambassador for several years, but I have only had a one other chance to speak to an audience. It appears that the Bristol Meyer Squibb is trying to make the program more active. I am looking forward to escaping some cold temperatures while I spend a weekend in Tampa.
