    Default ---- sardines...

-- in from my lone within mind discussion ride on our rs roadie..
hot, windy, humid but i am ok with myself now..

over to some folks home this evening for a pitch-in cook out, but i am depleted and a wee hungry --- not in a snack mood..
    & low-&-behold i found in tammy's cu-bard:

tin of smoked nowegian wild caught rascals in virgin olive oil & a slice of lemon on top..
popped that rascal open with a few wheat thins and a cold woodchuck ---- ya' just never know what
"cuts yo mustard" on a given day/time..

no kisses from tammy, but ronnie with a smile

Tammy and my Jenn have the same standards.

We get them fresh, like off the boat, grill them up, olive oil and chives. Forget about it! But forget about kissing!

Y'all are invited when you get out here.

That sounds great. How large are they?

I just got a tin of these bad boys and downed them after todays ride. Quite good given their company in the tin-o-fish isle at the store.

In my view, fresh grilled sardines can't be topped. Actually made some on the grill today. Now if only I could make them taste as good as the ones I had in Mallorca. Maybe the Sardines need to speak Catalan?

Yum! Thanks for the advice. I never know which ones are good but love me some canned fish.

I think sardines (along with marzipan, not at the same time) are one of Graeme Obree's recommended training foods. I agree. They will set you right when you feel depleted.
