Finally got around to using the bottle the wife bought for me last year. Lubed two chains this weekend and it was downright pleasant compared to the ProLink Gold I used to use. I won't dread lubing the chain anymore, or stinkin' up the joint when I do.

Finally got around to reinstalling a flatland cassette and cleaning off three weeks of crusty sweat and EFS (Electrolyte Fuel System) and dirt from the Ballers Sunday road ride. I wrecked a $.25 rag doing this job. And probably close to a cup of water. And about 7 drops of NFS.

I hope you have the logo and the slogans and the design and everything else trademarked! Gotta slow down on the free samples too. I've got nearly a lifetime supply of this stuff! My original bottle is getting low, but it still drips.

Been using this for a few months now, just wanted to say it is fabulous, simple, and I have the quietest drivetrain I have ever had. I hear other squeaks now! Like my knees and such. LOL!

I'm seeking some clarification about application/reapplication.
First off, much cleaner than the Chain-L I was using, which is nice.
As far as I know. 10-12 drops on first application, but then I heard 5 drops for the refresh. However, adding 5 isn't getting me the ~400-500 miles others have described. When I wipe the chain after rides, I take care to just do the side plates and NOT the rollers.
When you reapply (once things get noisier)--are you adding just 5 or a full 10? I'm sure it would make a big difference, but I also don't want to over apply.

Hi Skouri, I'm just a punter, but I happily over apply NFS on a much more frequent schedule than is necessary and my chain is clean and quiet all the time!

First thing, I'd suggest using that old terrycloth rag on the entire chain, not just the side plates as you want to get the superficial black gunk off of the whole chain. Also, be sure to clean off the jockey wheels and chainrings before adding more NFS. When you do add those five drops(ish), really give the chain time and revolutions to let the jockey wheels work the NFS around. Although Toots says to rub the excess off after twelve revolutions, I'd suggest either taking the bike for a short ride of a few miles, then rubbing or spinning those cranks around a bunch of times ... like 50 plus. Then wipe the chain a bit but NOT the jockey wheels until after your first real ride again.

I agree with Tom to work a little harder to get the drops distributed before you give in and add more. That said, if you are not getting the miles by all means add a few more drops just don't drown it!!!!

The 12:12:12 "thing" is really a suggestion, it works and if you are really THRIFTY like T.K. (love you maaaaaan) you can do an extra good job running in less than 12 drops using the big ring and small cog and alot of backward revolutions. That will work but I don't put the info. on our label.

This is purely a question about the chemistry in play here and not reflective of personal experience with it. Previous go to lube was and absolute pain in that it off gassed horribly and needed to sit undisturbed for at least 24 hours.

Personal experience has been that it's amazing having a chain that is still shiny after a couple thousand miles. And it works wonders on the pin in my Exposure light bar mount.

Good question. There is zero reason to wait because NFS does not contain any carrier, solvents etc. etc. etc. It is 100% product and that is one of the reasons a bottle lasts 10,000 miles.
Nothing to gas off my friend. Lube and go.

Pro-tip with the Race Grease (or any grease really) - get a syringe for precision application. Especially handy when you need to get into tight spots, like the pawl seats on a freehub body. I'm using some 'industrial' syringes with a blunt tipped fill needle, PITA to fill up, but work great once loaded.
