That green color is splendid BTW.
16" Fuchs are most definitely one of the items I try and hoard because they are so damn hard to come by. The green car has a total of 10, 2 sets plus a spare front and rear. I tend to also hoard 930 trailing arms brakes when the budget allows.

934 on the ground. Engine/dyno time on Wednesday which will give me some time to get the rest of the panels in color.

73 on the ground, doing some finishing touches before we can take it to the track and give it a shakedown.

Janis Joplin's 1965 356 will be displayed at the Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix this Summer. If you're close to the area and are into cool cars, the 9 day event is an absolute blast.

Porsche recently opend a new Customer Experience Center in Atlanta and I was fortunate enough to attend a 2 day event at the beginning of June before it opened to the general public. Short story: absolutely amazing experience. I thought it was going to be a hokey PR experience, and it was anything but. From the pucker factor of driving Cayenne's up 70 degree slopes, to multiple 360's in a 911 Turbo S, it was the jam. The kick plate described in the article was a blast. It's got me thinking that a bike experience like this would be interesting.

Motor for the 934 installed and tuned. Off to upholstery than final installation. Not as loud as I thought it would be but she sounds real angry around 4k.

    I want a new motor....

Put antique plates on the Carrera and have been running around town with it and having a ball. Might have an opportunity for a few laps around New Jersey Motorsports Park in a couple weeks. Softly, softly though. Not like Sean's creations...

So many sweet cars spotted at the Pittsburgh Vintage Gran Prix today, but we were seated next to this gem so I thought that I'd post her photo.

Good morning guys, couple quick videos of the green RSR getting a shakedown at the track. One video shows our 69 912 showing the lines to the owner of the RSR.

This is the current project I've been working on. 1978 Porsche 930 IMSA GTU. It was raced by Milt Minter and debuted at the '91 Long Beach Grand Prix. It also raced in the IMSA Exxon GT Series at Laguna Seca in '93. The car was very rough and for the most part was plagued by mechanical issues throughout its post-Minter campaigns. After ripping through this thing, it makes perfect sense why it never ran well after it left Minter's team. First pictures show it as we got it. Car was stripped and put on the rotisserie and had all undercoating removed. I've been spending a bunch of time re-fitting all the body work to the tub. When it came in, the entire front end was one piece. I can't stand 1-piece front ends, so I cut the fenders off, dissected the front spoiler, grafted in the original headlight buckets to a new spoiler, and added a front lip. The rear fenders were completely re-fit and I made the transition from drip rail to fender a little nicer. Since this car never had sufficient oil cooling, I put a huge cooler in the front. The rear fenders will have ducts so that if we need more cooling, I can put an oil or trans cooler in the sides as well.

Sean, INDE looks like a really awesome facility/track. Looking at their site in the desert I was having flashbacks of going to dirt track racing at Corona Speedway in the 80's. We went every Saturday night. I grew up in Tucson and me and my brother had a beat up tube chassis early 70's Corolla dirt track car.

It's a really nice little track. Pretty technical so it works well for helping us dial in a car. Some of the big car companies rent it out to test for the upcoming year's model. A while back, Nissan had the new fleet of GTR's there and Corvette was there a few weeks back. Ironically, the spec 944's were smoking all of them.

bought it in 04 with 2k miles on it. sent it to tempe, then to kansas city for some suspension/motor work. it's been pushing 600hp since 05. now it has 104k, and most of them were there by 2010. never a daily driver, just a road trip car. from the west coast to the mississippi river, all over the place and then some.
these folks make cars, high performance cars, that are meant to be driven. hard.
