A few not so great snaps of some of my mom's paintings. The oil work is more recent than the watercolor.

I've had this one done for some time now, just hadn't got around to scanning (tile and splice method) due to size. Robots have been done before, but they are fun and my self portrait would not be. This is the first in a series highlighting cycling and the 5 senses. Working on Smell now. Here is Touch:

So this showed up today as a complete and total surprise early birthday gift from my rad wife. More Josie Morway to decorate our walls.

I am the proud owner of a Nierman. You can't fathom how awesome this painting is. Seriously this thing is so dope I can't explain.

Ignore the hooks, this is pre new wall paint just seeing where it works best.

Nierman has visitation rights whenever he swings through Colorado.

Thanks again, Joe! I'm kicking myself for not hand-delivering this. Need more mountain airs... Enjoy!

Damn, Josie's technique blows my mind.

Although never much into that level of detail, I am still working on my instructor's words of 20+ years ago and work away from being less tight. When I paint from my head, this is easy. When I paint from observation, less so. So I'm forcing myself into 1-2hr speed paintings, trying not to clean brush out along the way. Happy accidents happen within the gestures.

After four years, my daughter was able to score a piece of artwork for her room...details on the second link...a lithograph by Henri Marie Raymond de Toulouse-Lautrec-Monfa, also known as Toulouse-Lautrec to us simple folk. Not bad for $5.
