without going to find a store that has the full 511 lineup in stock.... will they fit someone with a track cyclist type leg shape?
my thighs are pretty thick, compared to my pant size. its hard to find pants that fit well and ive recently started getting jeans with stretch. these sound ideal.

OK, as things go, these are definitely $$ than Levis but they are made for cyclists and so have room for your Nelson Vails. And you only need two, because you wear them for several days. Stretch too, with reinforced butt area for butt area strength against wearage.

And if you have Forstbergs instead of Vails, then these:

Highly unlikely. I used to have track cyclist type legs. I've shrunk quite a bit over the last 3-4 years and my 511s look like leggings...so much so that I won't wear them. The'd probably be ok if I went up a size or two, but then the waist would be way too big.
