    Default Parmigiani bird pistol

Don't know if anyone here has seen this but it's an amazing piece of work, especially since it was originally constructed around 1815. Parmigiani estimates they spent around 4000+ hours restoring it. I've seen some of these singing bird automatons in person but never anything like this.

Saw that and love it. I am in awe of craftsmen who were able to construct such works of art. See also these Japanese automata from the 17th century, still functional.

Amazing. I saw a similar pistol at the Patek Philippe Museum and it's pretty incredible. Here's a video of the pistol along with some other items. My parents have an old cuckoo clock with a functional singing bird and it's always fascinated me.

I've never seen anything quite like this before, the level of craftmanship and detail in these devices is simply mind-blowing.

    Thanks for sharing
