    Default Brain Maps

    Brain

The Gallant Lab at UCBerkeley published paper in Nature mapping functional brain activity while listening to a story. The link above is an interactive brain viewer which is pretty cool interesting.

This is neat. fMRI has the potential to really change our understanding of how people learn. Lots of work is currently being done around the impact one's belief system has on the learning process (like this study). While EEGs could measure overall activity, getting to see specific regions working and the magnitude of activity while learning is taking place is amazing. And we're just scratching the surface of what the tool can do, and what to do with the data and models.
