Had a 33 year old girlfriend when I was 19. Grew a beard to stop getting carded at the bars.
29 years later, still have the beard and the girl (now wife).

Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
I have seen beards since the 70s.. or the 19th century.. wait, let's call the middle ages? No.. why not neanderthals?
There is a new fashion trend derived from Steam Punk. SP is behind many things incl. movies w/ victorian settings like the latest one from JK Rawlings.
Beards w/ short haircuts come directly from that aesthethic which was edgy and alternative. Now it's adopted by fashion incl. Shopping Malls, the masses etc.. It's saturated. I am talking about fashion and you didn't get it. So.. there are dozens of other threads you can get! You can post on those threads and not waste your time telling me or anyone where to go or what to do. Have fun!

I've got a short beard right now. Most of the time I have no more than stubble because FDA regs mean I have to wear a beardnet at work. I've been off for a week and let it go and being a testosterone fueled male apparently low on the evolutionary scale, I beard up pretty quick. For the most part, it's a hassle 8 months out of the year here in NE Texas, but in the cooler months, it's kind of nice. My hair is short too, definitely German tank driver-like but that's a carry over from my military days.

Beards will never be "over" because they will live forever as the cool thing our faces do when we allow them to reach their telos.

the fashion beard may be peaking but that doesn't change the fact that they were sweet back then and they're sweet now.
In fact, I say we post up: Here's mine. Yeah, it'll be gone come spring, but for now I'm pretty happy about it.

Also re: stuff being 'over' can't hep but think of this:
Fashion may have them go; style wont be told what to do.
Thatīs an interesting debate. Is style sublime, above fashion? Is fashion foolish? Isnī it foolishness to be above foolishness?

I, for one, though, plan to beard up every winter, irrespective of whether they are "over" or "in".
It's an insidious virus. Even the good guys are getting infected.
