Use the locator. If it is located in the East I'll drive it there for you.

new car inventory...the permutations for options are mind numbing...i've found it better to buy one already made...less second guessing when you drive it off the lot

and you might even get a deal for one sitting on the floor

The sales people have much experience spec'ing these vehicles.

Correct, I would take one for the team but hey it's a blast and we already know each other. Trust is earned, driving a pals new car across the USA...priceless.

There's a large selection and a number of large Porsche dealers here. I'll drive it up to Josh so he can get it over to you, Lionel. All you have to do is buy the Seasucker racks so I can bring a couple bikes for the trip. I'll even cover my own flight home.

Yeah, I could also fly to the east coast and drive it too lol. I did notice that FL has a fairly large inventory. But decisions are almost as tough as the number of spokes to pick on a wheelset. 2 vs 4, S vs standard, PDK vs MT, mirror sunroof vs metal sunroof, natural leather vs normal leather, it goes on forever including some details that are so small you wonder why they are listed.

Yup. But if you'd prefer to hire a follow car, I'm ok with that too.

they are there to make an $80,000 car into a $140,000 car.

    listen- it's easy.

    this is what you get:

a white carrera manual with no options, black interior, no sunroof and model badge delete. it's $89,000. every single option they list with the possible exception of the alcantara steering wheel makes the car worse or uglier. the 19" stock wheels look good and fit all the best tires- 911s look awesome in white and real porsche enthusiasts never go for the uncharge colors.

trust me on this. i've got impeccable taste in porsches. :)

Craig is pretty on the money. FWIIW the new seats allow more headroom but hell if I've EVER used the sunroof.

Boss, the 4S takes the fun out of sliding it around corners but I know you ski and the silly things go like stink on dirt roads and I've heard are excellent in snow.

PS - who in their right minds listens to the stereo in a PORSCHE????

No way am I getting a white 911. White is good for ambulances.

Just for kicks I was thinking 2S or 4S, PDK (after driving this is is just great, would like to try the MT though), Agate grey (read classy), 2 tone natural leather espresso cognac (read ultra classy), mirror sunroof (super good looking with the Agate color), some more leather finish on the inside, sports package (rear wheel steering is cool, center exhaust is cool too), front axle lift (just because), standard wheels (look awesome, spiders look good too), premium package+ (because this thing includes all the basic stuff you want) with 14 way seats ventilated and heated (it's hot in CA), multi function steering wheel.

That's all perfect. Atlas Grey is my fav. P. car color. Atlas Grey has a subtle blue tinge, meteor grey hints beige and brown.

you're buying a sports car not a yacht.

to each's own i suppose. i hate the way center exhausts look- there is nothing in the premium package i would every want- and if they made a club sport with the sound deadening material removed- recarros bolted to the floor and roll-up windows and a rear seat delete i'd probably get that.

and white porsches are pro. it's the only color they should come in.
