This is REAL change.
Think of it as a balance to the past 8 years of profoundly left wing agenda/cabinet/government.
so what exactly is the change you are hoping to see?
have you seen this change based on his cabinet appointments?

No, nothing massive: Obamacare for one. Nice idea, but caused financial chaos affecting several industries.
The Stimulus package, putting us in debt more than all previous presidents combined. No, nothing massive.
Perhaps the biggest accomplishment of Obama was activating a movement that created Trump.

I’m still waiting to see how things work out, not knee-jerk reactions.
Example: the 20% Mexican tax was floated out, (like many politicians do) to temper the waters.
Everyone is acting and reporting like this is now LAW.
I guess I am enjoying seeing the Left go to defcon 5 every time the President opens his mouth.
One change I’d really like to see is every Hollywood phony actually be escorted out of the country, keeping them to thier “word” of moving out if Trump won.

Can anyone from any country just walk into your country and begin to work? Kids go to school for free? Free housing? Federal and state money?
I don’t think so.
I don´t disagree one bit w/ what you are saying: the US have no obligations to treat mexicans as american citizens.
Thing is: the US economy was aided by illegal work for so many years and now it´s no longer wellcome. Instead of admitting it, the US president calls mexicans rapists and drug dealers and tell them to pay for a wall. it´s beyond offensive: it´s proof of incompetence in the first place because border patrol cannot patrol the border.
Do you really believe drug trafficking will stop for lack of mexicans in the US?? You are only blocking that guy who is mowing a garden in California on the cheap.
Lies have short legs and don´t walk too far. This will blow on the US face in a very short time. It will strengthen the mexican character but will push for hatred for the US: a wall is a horrible symbol.

Re: Caroline Kennedy --- 2020
Davids, thank you for addressing one of the many untruths taken for fact and repeated ad nauseum:
"all the Che posters in Obama's campaign headquarters"... Alternative facts! You've been taking instructions from Bannon! One volunteer in a Houston campaign office in 2008 had a Cuban flag with Che's image hanging behind her desk. Here's more for anyone who's interested in truth.
As for 'Hollywood phony' - this could be used to describe our current POTUS. His supporters view him as a tough, successful businessperson which is entirely a media fiction.

It´s freedom of speech. Actors can say whatever they want as much as anyone who voted for trump can say wahtever they want and regret later...without being escorted out of the country. Did you really say that out loud?

NOw we are onto something. Trump is the by product of a "Left as an advertizing idea": politically correct "shut your mouths" on schools and media trying to negate reality. Well: Reality hit back. Too bad it came as an inverted image on a mirror: walls erected w/ taxes, legalized torture and agressive offenses to women and foreigners. Not to mention idiotic views which could bring down the american economy. Yes, Trump´s plans are a disaster for american companies. He is selling an illusion to the US working class. It´s beyond right or wrong.. it´s a con job and a stupid con job.

Yeah it was a Revolution, electing Trump that is. A revolution where his opponent was actually preferred by about 3 million more americans.
but wait, i'm sorry, those 3 million were not americans they were illegals.

Interesting argument Colky:
If I make a pledge to you on this website that “If Trump wins, I’ll send Colker my Monster FAT the next day”.
Trump wins, you say “Corso-where’s my bike?”
Should my reply be:
“I’m not worth my promise, sorry”
“I’m a liar, no bike for you”
“Freedom of speech allows me to say anything I want and not mean a word of it”
So if I lie under oath in court, is “freedom of speech” my defense?
Anyhow...
I do agree that the Wall is a symbol. It’s a symbol for someone attempting to stop a major economic problem in this country.
And Trump never said ALL Mexicans are blah blah , he pointed out the one coming in illegally (what don’t folks get about the word ILLEGAL) are not the cream of the crop, and that’s why the Mexican gov encourages them to “visit” the U.S.
And it’s NOT just Mexico.

Mexico is willing to pay for the wall, they just think it is the wrong place.
A wall along the border shown below would be acceptable. (approx. the pre Mexican-American War border)

Well, here’s a start:

Lying under oath is not the same as saying you will leave the country if Trump wins. Saying you will leave the country if your side does not win is a classic move. Election talk is election talk. I wish Trump would do the same: forget the sillynness of his election talk but it´s not happening.
Never escort citizens out of their country...

The ACA is a republican idea. It was developed by the heritage foundation and first implemented by a republican governor. If the republicans were so concerned about the impact they would have allowed the proposed legislation to fix some of it's shortcomings, but no it was much more interesting to them as a club to lie about and beat democrats over the head with...
The stimulus package was tiny in proportion to the size of our economy. It stopped the free fall but the continued persistent unemployment could have been substantially prevented by more meaningful stimulus. The debt growth was caused by the Bush tax cuts far more than any program instituted by Obama. I don't see the the right at all concerned by the explosion of the debt that will occur when the Trump tax cuts are implemented. Where are the deficit scolds now?
Nothing like a figure head of color to focus all that racism towards...

You use a wall for security reasons like the israelis did but they are at war: they are being bombed by an enemy.

Thanks dude!
I take your point on the "Hollywood phonies". Not that I believe they should be tossed out, but I think the ridiculous uninformed rhetoric contributes to the dumbing-down of our national conversation every bit as much as the Birthers and calls to "Lock her up".
I saw a Facebook post from a fellow citizen singling out Madonna's profanity-laced speech where she joked about burning down the White House. The problem I see is that - despite millions of Americans turning out to challenge the new President's statements, beliefs and proposals - what this post focused on is a famous person's tantrum. And Madge's behavior let this person dismiss the marches lock, stock and smoking barrel.
Madonna and others (the "anarchist" tossing a city trashcan in the street for someone else to clean up; the Greenpeace guys dropping a "Resist" banner from a crane, etc, etc.) make it way too easy for Trump supporters to claim that the opposition is merely having a snit about losing. Because too many of us are.
If you disagree with the direction the USA is heading, pick your issues and get involved. Act, even if it's as simple as calling your representatives or donating money to the causes you support. Shouting into the Facebook echo chamber is useless or worse, because it can give the illusion of acting.
GO!

The result this will have for me is that I will never NOT vote again. I have voted in every general election since I was 18 but I don't think I've ever voted in a primary or local election. Those days are over.
I intend to be present from now on every time I am eligible to cast a vote, even in the most local of local primaries. Every other voter ought to do the same.
Extremism and single-issue candidates are the result of the primary process where most people don't show up. It's how we end up with a general election with two (very) mediocre candidates and 98% of Americans thinking (often out loud), "Is this really the best we can come up with?"
If we don't vote, we end up with what we end up with.

Colker, I don’t believe you answered my earlier questions about immigration and social policies in your country. Do you have open borders?
If you feel so strongly about our President, you have 4 years to re-locate to the United States (legally), become a citizen and vote in the next presidential election.
My understanding of the WALL is not just a physical wall, but enforcing CURRENT LAWS and stronger deportation of proven criminals who are here illegally. Yes, that include the “sanctuary city” situation.

this is a link to Jesse Richman's blog at ODU and what he really says. The article in the Times is close to fake news.
Just for disclosure purposes, The Washington Times was bought by Reverend Moon of Unification Church. It also has links to Russian Kommersant. So read it with a grain of salt.
As for Greg Phillips that Trump tweet highlights and applauds has yet to produce any data beyond his own quotes and tweets.
