What's a wok without a burner? For all you DIY'ers in the group -- making your own countertop wok burner: . Follow at your own risk. :)

He also has fun cooking videos to go with it, and others like home steak aging, building your own pizza oven, and so on. Fun stuff.

HA! After getting my $$ back from the WokMan (fraud alert yo) I'm still without a reasonable remedy. A portable burner might do the trick.

    Hi Josh-

The homebrewing guys can link you to some high-BTU burners that rock.

Great idea. This might be the best way to achieve honest stir fry.

I second the outdoor gas ring suggestion. I have two and I don't remember exactly the max BTU but it is a high pressure burner (as in don't try in a pinch to swap in its regulator when the grill's fails) and similar ones online kick out 185k BTU. I have a large All Clad wok and if there are drawbacks to the wok the burner sure makes up for them.
