Re: Figs & other Free Fruit
So, fig and apricot season have passed but we're now up to the eyes with pomegranates from our tree. Unlike the formers, pomegranates can't be frozen to deal with later. We've juiced a bunch, made a handful of foods with them, and even pickled a couple of jars worth of the seeds (which are amazing, and I'm shocked that this is not something regularly done). Any other ideas for how to use them? We probably have 40 softball-sized pomegranates that will be ripe in the next two weeks and we already have two gallon-size ziplocs full of pomegranate juice ice-cubes...
