“Instructions for living a life: Pay attention. Be astonished. Tell about it.”

The labor itself looks peacefully focused. Beautiful work!
If anyone feels like buying one, or a Japanese lamp, here's the place to do it: Tsujikura.
If you want to learn how to make the Yodoe styles from the people in the video: JTCO.
Here's what your experience in that prefecture would be like, including the local dishes: Life in Tottori.
And while I'm at it, here's a video with more information than the "lens porn" I initially posted: JapanCultureSpotlight on FaceBook
My post about where to buy these was off. Still good stuff, but if you want the Yodoe umbrellas specifically, try this: Purchase Yodoe Wagasa.
I think the Kamado-san rice cooker at that site is a bit cheaper than the Ume umbrella, if that helps. Then again, after you add the BBQ pot and the proper plates and rice bowls from their ceramics pages, you'll still be in trouble. Maybe buy them "for the missus". Of course, post the photos of the loot. ;)
Sorry for the spam from that same website, but someone try this for me while I keep looking for work: Microwave Pottery Kit. :)
Beautiful.
How useful is a paper umbrella in wind and rain?
