Our yard is small it takes about as much time starting to mower as it does mowing it. I’m tired of gas mowers and weed eaters. Any recs on cordless ones that I just push a button to start.
Take a good look at Ego mowers.
Your kids (no pun intended) will love their new goat.

i have the snow blower and leaf blower and both are fantastic...
We've been using Newton Mowers for about 10 years now. The older mower takes over one battery charge to do the full yard, so having two batteries is key. Newer generation batteries I'm sure would have longer service times...

I use a GardenWorks. Takes twin 40v batteries. Will easily cut my acre of lawn. Will run on one, and I think one does the yard but I always have two batteries charged and ready to go, that way when I finish the lawn I switch over to the trimmer and blower, and get it all done, quick and quiet.
The mower does a great job.
They also have hedge trimmers and leaf blowers that take the same battery.
Goats are so last century.

Poor Houston...you ask a simple question and we cannot deliver a simple answer. I guess that for me, it all stems from your "Diary of a Closet Bud Clamato Drinker" series of posts a few years back...

We have been very happy with our ego mower. They also have sponsored a cycling team!
I've been using a Fiskar's reel mower for about 8 years. Works well except for tight spots as the 4 wheels make it a little tough to maneuver.
In that time frame I have not put $1 into the thing.
Not Riding!
Goats are browsers not grazers. They will ignore the grass and eat almost any plant.
I used a reel type mower when we had grass. Just the basic Scott’s model. Actually mowed a 3/4 acre with a reel mower for a year! Better than electric as costs less and good workout to boot. The scissoring action is better for the grass too. Now, in drought stricken California we have synthetic grass which is best of all!
