Only the second Modbar that I've ever seen in captivity...the other unit was in the Arriviste Coffee Bar in Pittsburgh. Mrs. RW's fave espresso roast so I always stop by Ghost Allley and pick up a bag 'o beans when I'm in town. The barista was impressed that I even knew what it was as she told me that they were one of the first shops to use the system.

I really need to get out. That looks amazing R.W.

Can not tell a line. Went into Starbuck's and ordered a coffee made in their Clover Brewer and I liked it.

Does a coffee supplement count for dessert and there is a bicycle thing going on too?

My roaster blew up and the Behmor 1600 Plus is virtually unobtainable.

LarryA had a question in the Friday thread about the best coffee that I tasted in Italy. I am certainly neither a connoisseur nor a well seasoned expert, but by far, the best coffee that I had was at a little Agro-Tourismo farm in Umbria run by Marco and Diva, who grow olives and grapes, make EVO and wine and hunt cinghalie with their five dogs. If I could make coffee that tasted like theirs, I'd never use cream again, it was that smooth. They buy their coffee from a roaster in town, but they claim that it's their well water that's the secret...who knows. Check out the spread that they had for us prior to the coffee and biscotti.

    Josh,

Where are you on a replacement? Buddy of mine is lugging 10kg of some yet to be determined green Ethiopian bean here from Qatar, and it might (might!) prove to be my gateway drug to a roaster.

I've got two possibilities. If and when Behmor A/B begins to supply their distributors I'll get that. Also, if and when Behmor releases their new "retro" small batch roaster I'll sell a kidney for the simple reason I never roast only 1 lbs of coffee.

Josh: If you are looking for > 1 lb., have you considered the Bullet?

    Aillio Bullet R1 Roaster

...not in stock for very long when Sweet Maria's gets them, but you could also order direct from the factory and get it. This is the one I'm lusting after, but my Gene Cafe is still plugging along.

I had a look at the bullet at MICS last year, wasn't sold on the induction concept. Fully prepared to be proven wrong.

Driving from Copperhill, Va to DC we stopped for a bite to eat in the tiny town of Lovingston, Va. Guess what is in Lovinston Va.? Why only some of the best roasters in the USA of A Trager Brothers Coffee No kidding, I was duly impressed with the entire operation not to mention outstanding coffee.

Now that I'm (clutch pearls) without a working roaster I'll start mail ordering from these Jamokes. We took home a bag of TBC blend 90, you should do the same.

If the Mexican is from Chiapas, it will have a magical ability to fix espresso pucks that tend to crack. It works best with water-decaf Chiapas for some reason.

I stopped at their Afton location last week. Very, very solid.
