I've been using a Brooks Cadmium C17 saddle for the past several years. Should I be wearing a lead athletic supporter?

Re: Who uses brass for lugs?
When I started this stuff Cd was a frequently referenced concern. But I was taught to not boil the silver and keep my head out of the flume and I would be OK. This advice has been since repeated by a number of people I have met. Just the same none of my fillers contain Cd. Andy

Re: Who uses brass for lugs?
We used cadmium bearing silver when I was at Trek, although they switched to cad free just at the end of my tenure. I was a little worried about it, but I think I actually developed a nickel sensitivity when I was there. We used nickel silver instead of brass for fillets for inexplicable reasons.
I have brazed exactly one lug with brass. I didn't find it satisfying, and with silver I usually don't have to file. I'm just not as practiced with brass.
