I got a 16 pack of toilet paper. There was a bunch on the shelf, I wasn't a dick about it, just got one.

I wonder where all the commercial single ply sandpaper like stuff is at these days?
There was a story on the news about how separate the two supply chains are,
and the fact all the schools, restaurants, and offices have virtually zero paper consumption.
It said household use would be up 40% because of all the "business" people are doing
by being almost exclusively at home.

New strings on a Les Paul are a glorious thing indeed.
In the thick of the Covid-19 thing as a health system exec and critical care doc. It's hitting here big time. I'm amazed at the dedication, bravery, and ingenuity of my colleagues throughout the entire system in pulling off a successful response. Also grateful and surprised (this is meant apolitically) that the state and feds done the right thing and loosened the regulatory handcuffs so we can pivot quickly.

I've had no issues getting the 200 grit commercial toilet paper through our distributor at work. I run the engineering and maintenance departments of a 400K square foot factory. Toilet paper hasn't been an issue. We're making our own hand sanitizer with alcohol and aloe lotion and cleaning surfaces with a 10% bleach solution. But we can wipe our butts and not think outside the box.

Forgot to add a big PS on some very positive health care news about my daughter - small but finite chance of something bad and biopsy turned out negative. And my wife is picking up no contact chicken piccata from our favorite old neighborhood joint run by good friends. Will take a breath or two, have a glass of Chianti, and get back at it tomorrow.
I’ll take my wins wherever I can. Our house guests (son, wife, 2 elementary school age kids and Great Pyrenees) moved out yesterday. I was able to get out of bed and walk around in my skivvies this morning. A small but non the less pleasure.

TMI, but hey, it's Friday and your post, Mike, brought this to mind:
Years ago when I was in the process of building our house and still staying in the cabin that came with the ten acres, I walked out first thing without a stitch on and my Johnson in all his glory pissing as I went to discover my neighbors had decided to drop by unannounced to have a look at the progress.
That's one of those things you can't ever put back in the bottle.

hey, how lucky can one man get.
Thirty five years ago on the 28th of April I went into detox. It changed my life.

Congrats to both of you, Mike and RW!
I've been playing more guitar than ever during this period of stay at home isolation.
I finally figured out the big tuning trick to one of my favorite 90's rock bands. But something wasn't quite right. On a long shot I sent the guitar player a message through Instagram asking some questions about how they tuned the guitars. He responded, answered my question, gave an interesting anecdote about recording the tune and then shot a couple of videos on his phone going through the guitar shapes. Can't beat that - a guitar lesson straight from the man himself!
Probably not a big deal for him. He's probably bored at home in isolation and can't believe someone cares about how he tuned a guitar 24 years ago, but it's made my weekend. A good reminder that a little bit of positive effort can make a big difference to someone else. The golden rule always applies. Now I have to go figure out the rest of the album...
Let’s start Friday off right. I retired in January but got a call from my boss yesterday. They just finished closing out my last job and he said it went very well and that a bonus check was in the mail. It was totally unexpected and gratefully accepted.

I started the day with an errand for my wife's birthday--a nice bike ride.
Then I thought I had missed a meeting--a sudden panic.
Then I learned I had an old invitation and hadn't missed anything.
My good day is back on the rails.
