Lots in here make me crazy, but this one especially. Makes any business plan sound instantly dumber.
Fights begin, finger prints are took, days is lost, bail is made, court dates are ignored, cycle is repeated.

So “you kids get off my lawn” upset that I actually ‘trained’ Siri On my IOS POS to say you’re welcome.
In England, when I was younger the response to "Thank you" was nothing. If you thanked someone the act of saying "thank you" was the end of the intercourse. When my parents first visited the USA, in the 1960's I think, I remember my mother coming home and telling me that if you said "thank you" in the USA it elicited the response "You're welcome".

Then, like many things,"You're welcome" drifted over here, which is fair enough. I agree that "No problem" is a retrograde move. My impression is that "No problem" originated in Australia but I may be wrong.

In Germany and Austria if someone does something for you like serving you in a shop or giving you your change in the supermarket, you say Danke, and the person will always respond "Bitte", and it riles me a little because I wanted the last word.

Irregardless is a definite favorite. I love to use it on the people that I know will hate it. What I find disturbing is that my browser recognizes it as a word.

You just need to lean in and embrace the constant of change that is disruption and failing forward.

Oh boy, I wish I was making this up. I come back to my desk and the company screen saver has this:

"It is important that we embrace and leverage the opportunities on the horizon to be always Future Ready."

I moved the mouse as fast as I could so I was exposed to no more of that and maybe suffered a lobotomy or something.

I did not read the whole thread so forgive me if this has been covered but, "I'm good" instead of "No, thank you" bugs me. Especially bothersome when stated in response to the simplest gesture of hospitality.

"Can I get you a cup of coffee or glass of water?"
    "I'm good."

So much more polite to say, "A glass of water would be wonderful. Thank you." It makes the host feel appreciated and keeps the conversation moving.

When I started work It was with a division that had no interaction with the public. None.

About a year into my time there, they were given a script they were expected to follow when answering the phone. So the phone would ring and this would happen “Oh F__K OFF” picks up.... ‘Welcome to ___, my job is winning customers, how can I help you’

    You couldn’t make it up.

can't believe it took me this long to remember this one, but it may be the most annoying, bar none, overused and mis-used word (not exactly a buzzword) in the media today:

Is anybody here working on connecting all of the buzzwords listed to date, in one large mind blowing sentence that we could collectively license to Saatchi & Saatchi? Perhaps there's a random sentence generator for that task, like the John Travolta name generator of a few year ago.

Would it be more appropriate to make a word cloud out of all of them and then use it for a PowerPoint presentation?

Ahahaa! What's the term for a homerun when you hit with teammates on all 3 bases? (Can you tell I'm not much of a baseball fan?)
