This is a solid read wrt what I was asking previously. Can employers compel employees to vaccinate?

I can't tell you how many times I had to show proof of vaccine. I had to get some medical documents translated into english and then notarized.

What I see happening come summer '21, vaccination rates will be too low forcing mandatory vaccinations.

First dose today. The volume was pretty small, 0.3ml and barely felt. Second jab in 21 days. Feeling fine

Up and rolling at my place, so my irritation of last week with maldistribution has been replaced with the minor aggravations of coordinating the effort. We were shorted by the state on the first round but got a nice batch yesterday. Pulled out all the stops using all connections with the DOH, both clinical and political, to get a reasonable allocation. For the most part, non-front line people have gotten the message that they have to wait a little without exception, so the inappropriate VIP requests that were pissing me off have ceased. We have not seen any side effects (Moderna), other than cold-like symptoms in one person who likely had asymptomatic infection in the past with antibodies. What does amaze me is how many people, including some on our Covid units, don't want to come in on Christmas Eve or the weekend or a day off to get the vaccine.

Make you want to give them a open handed (gentle) slap to the face and mutter "Dewd".

Nice. I went to school there. I was wondering if you might be in that area based on your earlier comments.

Thorson Hall is 1/2 block away if you remember the killer sledding hill. Lots of lunch trays still found in the spring.

I went to Mac. We glued neoprene to the trays and cut slots for webbing handles because....Liberal Arts n'such ;)

    Sorry. Back to vaccines.

My primary care MD wife was in "wave 1" for the Pfizer vaccine and got her 1st shot last Saturday. As she said to me, "there's hope now" as she continues diagnostics and triage while the hospitalists manage the really sick patients in the at capacity hospital. Thankfully Wisconsin seems to have moved out of the really bad red zone... at least for now.

We toured Carelton when my daughter was applying to college. I decided that, next time, I'm going to Carleton. The Silent Dance Party charmed the hell out of me.

At University of Michigan, we didn't need no damn neoprene or handles. Steal a tray and head for the Arb!

One local hospital (known ww) has been at 100% capacity for the past 2 weeks.......they just keep expanding capacity as needed.

Oh boy, someone purposely sabotaged ~500 doses of the vaccine, which occurred in my current state of residence, no less. I want to spin a pun about vile acts committed toward vials, but this is really beyond the pale...

Got my shot today. My wife gets her second shot next week. I know we're not out of the woods yet, but I'm feeling very optimistic at the moment.

These doses and the associated transportation/storage costs likely represent significant dollars. I'd think a civil case would have legs, no?
