Now we're talking! I used to go to this place in Baltimore in the middle of the night for some killer huevos rancheros when I was transitioning from drunk to hungover. That was usually the cap to night full of what could only be described as a string of guilty pleasures.

Today it's pizza from the local walk up counter that's as close to NYC style as I've ever had outside of NYC.

The only way around this is to not buy them, or make sure I have other people to share the bag with.

Beyond that, my only real food vice is bread. We get a sea salt ciabatta at the Saturday farmer’s market that disappears real quick over the course of the weekend.
Chilli Lime? Those are good junk. And just to add a little fake color, any "good" bbq potato chips. With Dr. Brown's cream soda.

And the bread . . . yeah, really good french bread goes quick in our house. Leonora in Arlington . . . must not frequent too frequently.

Getting back to my New England roots, lately it's been double chocolate Milanos. Only 15 cookies in a bag? C'mon, Pepperidge Farms, super size me!

Homemade 'potato chips'...thicker than a true chip, but much thinner than a french fry. Russets sliced probably 2.5mm thick on a mandoline with skin on, patted dry, then deep fried in olive oil in batches then blotted with a paper towel and salted. Serve/consume them asap while they're hot and crispy, maybe dipping in a little red wine vinegar.

Labor intensive, but so, so good.

This thread has gone so far off track... John, fancy-pants think-cut homemade potato chips dipped in red wine vinegar are a delicacy, not a "culinary abomination." If you would have finished with "and then I drizzled an entire bottle of Hersey's strawberry syrup on top," then we'd be talking.

Alright I'll play: Last week I was hungry and wanted a snack. I ate a half of a jar of anchovy-wrapped capers, a dill pickle spear topped with a huge squeeze from a tube of double-concentrated tomato paste, and I chased it all down with some organic vanilla granola. The sweetness of the granola really cut the salt of the anchovies and pickle.

Raisinets by the pound washed down with swill red wine. At least there's some antioxidants in there. Crap like a rhino the next day also.

I'm thawing out Nueske's bacon to wrap around Schweigert hot dogs headed for the grill.

Hot dog, flour tortilla, Monterey jack, Tapatio hot sauce. Butterfly hot dog, lay on bed of cheese on top of tortilla, drizzle with Tapatio, wrap and microwave for 1.5 minutes.

I'm not going through 10 pages to see if I posted this before, but......

    1 can Ravioli
    1 can Spagettio's with franks
    1 can Spagettio's with meatballs
Hot sauce to taste. Stir to combine and microwave (if you want)

Haven't done this in a decade since I don't want to go to the hospital. Taught to me in HS by a really good friend who unfortunately weighs approx. 450 lbs.

No joke, I ate that exact same "meal" once a week from the time I graduated college until I met my first wife and was too embarrassed to eat it with her around. Granted, I weighed 140 soaking wet at the time. I still crave it from time to time.

Your post compelled me to acquaint myself with this thread. You posted this back on page 2. Now no one else has to look for it.

I think no-one will beat the below for a Valentines meal... fried spam and champagne. It's an Asian thing... Spam is insanely popular out here and we've kinda got into it.

    "Pig Dip."

1 jar salsa, 1 brick cream cheese, 1 bag shredded monterey jack. Per person. Microwave the crap out of it, stirring as necessary.

    Pretzels, chips, crackers, spoon, whatever.

Had it way too often in college; maybe once every 2 years since then. So dirty & good.

Baked Rold Gold pretzel twists into Toll House chocolate chip cookies a few weeks back. Stupid good.

Road trip packing list: 1 short paring knife, 1 hard salami hung from the rear view mirror, 1 quart grapefruit juice or lemonade to cut the grease, 1 tin of Altoids. Leave the windows open and eat (all) the Altoids shortly before arrival

Guilty pleasure? Switch the drinks for an espresso and you have my typical breakfast.

Now we're talking. Prominently displayed grease cut with citric acid and covered up with breath mints. Nice work.
