150 / 9…..looks like Richie's gonna give me a run for my money
OK, got the wifithings hooked up and it looks stable. I'm going to report first thing in the morning weights:
Saturday: 139.0 lbs 114.7 lean 24.3 fat
Sunday: 138.8 lbs 114.7 lean 24.1 fat
Monday: 138.7 lbs 115.8 lean 22.9 fat
Don't thrust the lean / fat numbers since the resistance method is usually wrong. But they should trend in the right direction. Am having a Bod Pod done in a couple weeks and that should provide a correction factor for BF %.
My goal will be to get under 135 total and 10-12% body fat. I'm mostly interested in the lean part and not the total.

You guys need a cheeseburger. Make Randy proud.

From the 1972 CONI manual;
"In the case of the athlete having to lose a good deal of weight in order to reach his natural limits and those of form, the instructor will take care to see that he wears sufficient woollen clothing including on the legs, especially if the lower limbs are covered by a layer of fat. In addition, the athlete should cover his chest immediately under the last sweater with pages of newspaper, or else a cloth corset to protect the abdomen. If the layer of fat on the athlete's body is uniform and abundant, the newpapers should also be spread over his back..."
There's something to that old school stuff…..I was always told never go out in shorts unless it's at least 80 degrees. I see guys in shorts the first day it's 60 in the spring.
Tuesday: 138.9 23.5 fat
Wednesday: 140.8 23.3 fat
Thursday: 140.2 22.8 fat
Big riding blocks coming up next 15 days. Hoping that plus a calorie reduction will provide a downward trend on BF %
Been hitting the water harder and cut 200 calories out of lunch. Water is a big change for me as I am a black coffee / diet coke (w/out caffeine) kinda guy.
Always amazed at guys riding in shorts at 45 degrees in spring / fall. I keep knees covered until 70 degrees. Think Sean Kelly's rule was 65 deg for knee coverage? Bib knickers were a great invention and really keen on the thermal fabric shorts too. Will ride in rain, snow, mud, slop, but hate being cold...

I still follow that principal, although not quite as warm as 80 F. I go out in shorts once we hit 68 or 70F (just above 20C). Below 68F, embro on the knees, lower legs and ankles, likely knee warmers too. Once it gets below 60F, embro and definitely cover the knees (knickers or knee warmers).
If it's raining - no matter what the temperature, definitely embro with a layer of vaseline to prevent it from washing off.
157/10.7.
Goal is to be around 6-7% come Feb making the same 20 minute power (450-475w). Will probably be down to about 153-155. Hopefully.
