Slim Dungarees and a very limited run of 60/30 "Loosies". They were an "athletic cut" of the 60/30s so they aren't super slim. They look like a chino but have 4 way stretch. I mostly wear the Slim dungarees though - I have last version. The newer version is supposed to have a more broken in look and conform more to your body. The future works look nice though and I have shorts in that material, the material doesn't look techy at all.
Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
So, the $80 Unbraded 201s showed up. As I said before, it's been a long time since I've purchased jeans.
14.5oz denim is stiff when new. Don't think I'll mess with their 21oz. Not sure on tapered, either. Too soon to tell.
I'll wear for the rest of the week and see how things go from there.

I picked up some "Ballin" Jeans from a local mens clothing store. They are pretty much the nicest I have.
I also have some Citizens of Humanity jeans (in bright orange, no less) and they are great and feel like they will wear forever.... the bright color though has faded quite a bit with wear and washing.
That said, I would feel bad commuting on these jeans... especially if I had a mechanical and some grime ended up on them. They are change into at work type jeans at this stage because I really don't want to rip or grease up a $150-200+ pair of jeans.
Matt Moore
picked up that, too.

Free with purchase? Groupon deal? or just a miggity miggity miggity mac (daddy) in the jeans?

Anybody have experience with 511 Selvedge variant?
I've been wearing 511s for a long time now, usually rotating 2 or 3 pairs, and I'd like to get something with the same fit and higher quality material.
I'm not expecting bespoke/boutique levels of quality, since I'm not paying for it either.

i have three pairs of gustin jeans and love them all. a 14 oz. japanese denim, and 16 and 21 oz cone denim. 29 slim fits have stretched out to fit great. have yet to wash any of them. you really need to wear the heavier ones about 50 or more times before soaking or washing. as i only wear jeans in cooler weather, stink is not a problem. but i highly recommend gustin.
my buddy just suggested Buck Mason. MiUSA. $135. Same cone mills denim from NC.
i compared the BM standard fit to the gustin straight fit. the BM will have a little longer front rise which will give your junk some more fresh air. the rest of the measurements are pretty close. cuff opening is smaller though.
Rogue Territory Stanton, 14.5 oz japanese denim.
have had them ~15 months. soaked them once or twice, can't remember.
have had the crotch fixed a few times.
Damn, I told myself for three days to let this go but I keep coming back to these pants. I hesitate to call them jeans. If I paid good, hard earned money for these I would be pissed. I know I'm old and my fanciest jeans are newer Levi's but damn...
Now "get off my lawn "
