Thanks guys- I'm really excited about that track build. The hubs are by Curtis Odom, and the rims are a custom combo Velocity ran for the bike.

CycleExif's Parker came by the booth and put together some fun coverage in his NAHBS Day 2 report (the images below are his).

This showed up today and will be a nice addition to the rotation. Now I just need the bike to go with it...

    Funny you should say that...

I brought a couple of new bikes to NAHBS this year, road frames I dubbed my Tool Series. These are a new item for me- set configurations made to order and built to measure. For folks looking for the convenience of a straight forward road frame, but with the benefits of custom sizing, the Tool Series offers a great addition to my existing full Custom Series bikes.

These road frames start with a custom sized Winter fillet brazed road frame, a Pegoretti Falz fork and a Cane Creek 110 headset. I will be offering a few parts packages as well as custom kits.

The bikes will initially be offered in two finishes:

    Hammervein (gallery)

    and Pewter (gallery)

Pricing info is on the web site. I will have a few standard build kits as well as custom builds.

For folks interested in the construction shots, you can see lots of process photos on my flickr page.

What is that awesome paint/finish on the Hammervein?

It's almost like a casting finish.

The finish on these (texture, color and graphics) is 100% locally grown powder coat.

After two shop moves I have finally (FINALLY!) set up the big lathe. This week I fired it up for the first real "job"- the non glamorous fork crown machining. Oh lathe, how I have missed thee.

4 stainless crowns at about 8x the speed of doing it by hand and without the sore shoulders. Work smarter, as they say.

I am staying with friends in Bristol. This morning I've reassembled two bikes in prep for today's move in. Coffee, coffee, coffee...

    See you at Brunel's!

Beautiful track bike at Bristol Eric! Congrats on winning the Best Track Bike Rosette. It was nice talking about the details like the fork crown, stem, and seat stay bridge; I was so taken back by the beauty of the bike, I forgot to introduce myself. Doh! Hope you enjoy the rest of the of the show. Regards, Toby.

Nice to meet you for the second year running at Bristol Eric.

Nice also to see that you were'nt out in the walkway this time !!!

Two very lovely, well though out bikes, I just wish the track bike was my size.

I hope you had a pleasant time this side of the pond and a safe journey back to Eugene.

    All the best.

Trask Bedrotha came buy before I left for the UK and shot some photos. To my pleasant surprise, they turned into a cover feature in the Eugene Weekly and went to print the day I got back!

Here is a link to his flickr with the image set.

And a link to the Eugene Weekly article.

I'm not really sure where to put this, but it's worth sharing:

Ali Campbell rounding out for 901.14 miles. Ali put together his "April Fool 900" as a fundraising effort for the Glasgow Bike Station's and Bristol Bike Project's programs that encourage youth cycling. Way to go Ali! (and he did it on a Winter).

You can read more about it, and help with other fundraising at Weathered Cyclist.

Gabe from Box Dog posted a few shots from his visit, including rare photographic evidence of my sense of humor/ hamming (such as it is).

I have since cut my hair and look a little less ragged. These were coming off a marathon build session after Bristol and being ill. Still- sweet bike!

“Mor Breizh”- The Breton name for the English Channel, is a step through with British and French influence. It was designed with a nod to classic transportation bikes of the 1940′s, but with modern material and performance.

This bike was recently awarded "Best Finish" at NAHBS 2013. Last night we updated the web gallery- link here.

Just a note that I'm doing a run of the robot shirts- preorder now for your size on this run. $16 shipped in the US, $30 for most of Europe.

Also putting together a run of hats from Randi Jo. Some wool, some cotton or hemp based on the samples. $28-$30. Let me know if you are interested and we can bundle!

I've been working on some Pelican's lately- these are raw fillets in the style of old Taylor's. In an effort to keep them as clean as possible I keep working closer to the mythical "unfilled" perfect fillet- smooth radius, consistent width and smooth feathering. I think these are turning out pretty well-
