...Have a purpose for doing it. Don't become a framebuilder to just build frames. Become a framebuilder to address something about bikes that drives you nuts. Don't try to be all things to all people. Find a niche and carve it out. I wanted to build clean, simple, and well executed cyclocross and road bikes. Drill down and figure out why you want to build bikes. There has to be more meat there than just because they're cool.

I love the tubes. I'm going to try the deda s-bends in the next frame though. The main tubes you sent make a really stiff and responsive front end. I've built a couple with different BB drop and head tube angles. I'm diggin the BB drop at around 6 cm. I've been clipping pedals a little too often with the 7 cm drop frame. The main tubes and steepish head tube angle make for a really fun singletrack bike. Thanks for the guidance!

Attention SRAM and Shimano owners! Here's the drawing for the 42 tooth 110 bcd outer. The 36 tooth 110 bcd prototypes are machined and prototypes of the 42 outer are going to be machined over the weekend. Campy CT samples are at the anodizer. Looks like having everything ready for NAHBS is likely.

Sorry I missed this!

One of the benefits for me of living in New England is that we get a variety of weather and conditions. Sure, we don't get a deluge every weekend like they do in Portland, but we get a fair bit of mud. We get snow and ice. We get 75 and sunny. We get 15 and sunny. We also get the grass crits, the choppy, bumpy, rooty tracks, and the courses with a 1/4" of greasy mud (those are fun!). What I'm getting at is over the course of a season, we see all kinds of different course and weather combos. It's helped me test different geometries and identify what designs produce a bike that I like the feel of. I also had the opportunity to work with Adam Myerson very early in building career. I built a bunch of bikes for him and he was able to articulate what he liked and what needed to be changed. Having the feedback from a real pro helped steepen my learning curve. Since then, I have continued to make tweeks. It helps getting out there and rubbing elbows though!
