I've always had a fondness for that song done by the band who used that name. I loved how they each took a verse. Sort of a Buddhist country song.

Beautiful weather for an outdoor lawn concert with Carlos Santana today. I missed Santana at the Seattle Pop Festival 48 years ago. I hope they still have some magic. Funny that outdoor 3 day pop festival was just a few miles away from the current outdoor venue.
Going to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds tomorrow night at the Greek in Berkeley. Should be a good show, though I'd prefer that they play a venue like the Fillmore or Warfield.
Big week. Dead & Co. started with a great show despite the presence of John Mayer (who I begrudgingly admit is good with them). Then to the Beacon to see a Jason Isbell and Amanda Shires who are always really good. But the highlight was opening night at the a Solid Sound Festival. Wilco was scheduled to play its album Being There from beginning to end. They did. Then they came out for an encore and played Yankee Hotel Foxtrot in its entirety. That is one powerful band. I might have to go back to see what they play tonight. And Mass MoCA is a really great place to see shows.
Last night I saw Lindsey Buckingham and Christie Mcvie (half of Fleetwood Mac) and the Wallflowers.
It was great to hear some of the music that I grew up with, but the voices are not there. Lindsey Buckingham can still shred the guitar. Overall I preferred the Wallflowers more than the half Mac.

Saw Paul Simon in Missoula last week. First concert I have ever been to where the bikes parked out numbered the cars by at least 5:1. Every stand, tree and bush had a dozen bikes tied up to it. There were a couple ospreys soaring over the stage most of the evening. Guess they wanted to hear Paul and not pay. Paul can still lay down a pretty good show. I loved the new arrangements on some of his older songs, my wife likes them to be kept just like on the album. Dude is getting old.
I was in North Adams for Wilco Solid Sound. Friday Night performance of “Being There”and “Yankee Hotel Foxtrot,” each from beginning to end, was pretty special. In July I am going to see Phil Less family band playing with Stanley Jordan.
In September I am going to the sound summit. This is a show with Phil Less and Bob Weir up on Mt Tamalpais at the mountain theater- This is a small outdoor venue 2000 feet above the ocean- it should be pretty cool.
Chris Stapleton is coming to Omaha this fall. I think the whole family is going.
That Wilco show sounds like it was great. they are a tremendous band.
I've got Rodney Crowell 7/7.
Saw U2 Joshua Tree tour on Tuesday - this was early in the set when Bono gave a shout out to to Barcelona
Right before the band took the stage the house cranked The Whole of the Moon which I'd never heard before but it was perfect on a summer night outdoors right before the band opened with Sunday Bloody Sunday
I'm going to see Jason Isbell and the 400 unit this evening in Miami Beach.
I just got tickets for the proto-wife and me to see Social Distortion at the historic Aztec Theater in San Antonio.
