BREAKING: Chinese President Xi Jinping says that the “White House virus” is out of control and Trump needs to be more transparent about the crisis.

Notorious RBG's dying wish was for the next elected President to nominate her replacement which they promptly ignore. Maybe she has the big kahuna's ear?

Since Christie was Trump's debate sparring partner, I think you can make a case that the Trump party showing up too late to the debate so Cleveland Clinic could not test them, and his own doctors flubbing the timeline for his infection, leads a lot of questions needing answers....

You know Putin gets to use Novichok, maybe Trump thought he could use Covid.

If the anonymous WH statement (which is insane to consider they're putting that out as a pool statement), is accurate, there needs to be a serious discussion about invoking the 25th Amendment. There cannot be a head of government who cannot do the job at the moment, and this is precisely what the 25th is for.

I'm trying to think of one cabinet member who would be a desirable usurper. I'm not succeeding.

Breaking news: Bridge closing expert Chris Christie checks himself into the hospital. I wonder if it was worth it to be humiliated over and over again by patient one and his lips never broke suction. He's going to go through some things.

Time to binge "I Claudius" for hints and tips.
Who is Claudius ?, is Melania or Ivanka going for the Livia role.

Is Trump our Napoleon III ?

What patience? We don't know his true condition, and we don't know whether he's currently capable of any significant decision making. When do we decide? When he's on a ventilator?

There has to be a functioning head of state.

Given that we know that at least 10 in that group have tested positive, what is the math on how many will have major complications and/or die?

Not trying to be morbid nor am I Snoopy-dancing over this turn of events even though I feel this crowd has ruined this country and the earth for a long time to come.

I am not heartless but I think somebody should be looking at the maths and planning accordingly.

You have a high cohort of older, out of shape, overweight, etc folks. Probably a lot of drug controlled CHO and BP also.

And, they still have a mask optional policy at the WH.

So, just wondering the odds of this really taking a turn for much worse than people are thinking.

Trump should be at the Auburn/Georgia game...the Sanford Stadium (UGA) is at 20% capacity and I’d wager that 90% of the fans aren’t wearing masks, including the on-field reporter...unreal.

He might be coughing but he is one happy camper.
The income tax problem goes away.
    The debate disaster goes away.
He gets his Supreme Court pick out of sympathy.
His followers are holding candlelight vigils.
They’ll be spreading straw on the streets in front of the hospital to reduce the noise.

Trump will likely hold the powers of the Presidency right up until he is anesthetized. That’s usually the moment when powers are transferred, though we know now that James Baker did not allow a transfer to occur when Reagan was shot - for whatever reason. Thus all the questions about whether or not Trump had been given oxygen - and perhaps why the answers were vague - because sedation could have been involved. But if Trump is just experiencing the equivalent of a bad flu, there will not be a transfer. That’s been the standard in the modern era, Reagan excepted.

But you likely know all this already.

I think it will be interesting to see how strong Judge Barrett’s immunities are. I don’t know if her case of COVID was a single positive test with minor symptoms, or a medically confirmed diagnosis with additional testing and follow up afterwards. If she somehow comes up positive afterwards, that would be incredibly unfortunate. I hope they are testing her (and her family) and not taking things for granted.
