FWIW, I work in the same building as a lot of current and former Navy pilots. They all seem to wear the Casio G-Shock digitals. I've never spotted a single IWC.

Historically, for sure. I know the WW2 era fleigers were something like 55mm. I wonder how many modern-era pilots rely on a wristwatch now. I'm assuming that it's all in the plane now, and watches are well down the list of back-ups.
