since I was grumping about this yesterday, now that I fixed the door latches, it's really nice to have doors that actually shut and latch and don't rattle. Sometimes it's the small things.

There's no way I can wait til US American Friday to say how happy I am at the current level of silliness happening on the forum. That cat in that one thread that said we're wrong that this place is a cut above is only half right - it fits some so poorly because it fits others so well. Not everyone can pull off skinny jeans (holler if you've ever tried to pull someone else's off), but the fact that big shapeless mom jeans "fit" most people doesn't mean they're ever a good look. I'm rambling. I like it here. A lot.

You should pass some of that along to Bob Costas.
Leaving tonight for 4 days of skiing!!!!!
Still sick, yay... At least I'll get a 4 day weekend now.
It's Friday and my cat is awesome. She survived being attacked by two coyotes. Even better, we now know she is gifted. New game: we hide her teddy bear every night and in the middle of the night she finds it and brings it up to our bed. Eight nights in a row. Yeah, you read that right: eight freaking nights in a row.
Sugarloaf is at 15" and counting!!!! This makes me giddy like a drooling idiot!! I am a starving dog leaping up and onto a meat-wagon, erect. I am going to rip and shred like a morphed Ted Ligety
Seth Morrison super creature. My pack will have water, nuts, beef jerky, sandwiches, pot, Dr. Mcgillicuddy, and stoke. Yes, stoke, in spades.

I love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love snow. We have been getting it in spades in my neck of the woods. We got about 10" yesterday and are supposed to get another 5" - 8" Saturday (on top of the foot we got last week). I have a dedicated set of winter wheels/snow tires, which are Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2s. Thank you Mother Nature for making the investment worthwhile!
I bet she came home going "Yeah, but you should see the other two."
But y'all ought to try a nine pound cat who drags his Gund bear (it's bigger than he is) into the bedroom at night, mounts it and goes to town. Loudly. Sometimes more than once. Sometimes more than one bear... there are two, a green one and a brown one.
don't 4get the 1 u luv 2day

Catching a real live baseball game tonight down on campus. Reportedly a near sellout. Keeping fingers crossed for good weather as there is a lot of rain up in the sky right now.
Suck it, grumps, it's new to me bike day! I'm going to ride this ugly piece of trash SO HARD for cross season. I'm sorry you have to see this but it was about maximizing watts per kg-$.

Don't worry, I'll buy some showroom cross bike you can drool over eventually.
I love riding this thing even more than I hate to look at it.
Boxer out.
skiing this wknd. that is all.

These came. Thanks Boyd! A real pleasure working with Boyd...again. And as usual, Boyd was very helpful and answered questions promptly and I know he will stand behind his product. Looking forward to racing these come cross season.
44mm cross tubulars. Disc. Spaced 135. Campy. One of the few options out there satisfying all these requirements. These will dress up the incoming Jonathan Greene CX machine.

Got an email this morning from Mr. David Kirk to hammer out the details of my incoming bicycle. Very exciting stuff!
Our cat Lucy wakes me up at the exact same time every morning to play fetch. Ball gets dropped at the side of the bed and she cries until I wake up and throw it down the steps. She tries to block it, but I *usually* get it past her, depends on how groggy I am. Then I try to go back to sleep, but she keeps at it until I wake up, usually it takes about a half dozen throws until I give up and get out of bed. She tries to drink water out of the sink while I'm brushing my teeth, then its downstairs for a kibble refill...
