I've spent enough time in NH/VT/ME (years) to say with 100% confidence that the summer heat and humidity there are the proverbial picnic compared to summers in the Midwest / St Louis.

Winter in NE is of course a different story, but summertime livin' is easy. I'm not saying it to brag or anything, 70* dewpoints suck and I hate it, but they're a fact of life, and having cooler pants helps.
