Yup. Just like the Casioak. But still going over a grand in the secondary market.

Pretty stupid since I can buy one on Amazon for £200 @ the casio store. Like so many things on the internet, the secondary price is just a puff. A figment of imagination.

What you expect for a watch that doesn't cost $25,000? Sheesh.

Right? It's amazing $40 G-Shocks with no stickers are that definitely going to come off and their color doesn't leach onto your skin don't cost $4,000 instead.

I'll believe the availability claims Swatch is making when I see it. I'll speculate bots will snap up the online stock, and flippers will continue to drive the price up. I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see these being easily available like everyone is saying. Swatch screwed up the opening, sending less than 100 watches to each store and pissing off a lot of people. It was all planned that way, no mistake. Nothing for that company to be proud of.

I have now determined that Swatch is a very bad company! 2 years ago, I bought a Tissot PR100 Powermatic 80, about 3 months into owning this watch it stopped running, I sent it back under warranty, they repaired it, but then it started to run slow, about 5 to 6 minutes a month, so I sent it back, they returned it repaired, no it wasn't, I've sent this watch in 5 times and they have not corrected the 5-to-6-minute slow issue. The last time I sent it in they stated it was running within factory specs, which according to their literature they have a margin of error of -10 to +30 seconds a day, which is 4 minutes slow a month, but mine is running about a minute or two slower than the margin of error a month and they refuse to correct it.

This isn't my first go around with automatics, my first Tissot, a Seastar, I bought in 1968 this watch ran about 25 to 30 seconds fast per month; I also have my dad's (now) 60 some odd year old Omega and it runs about 15 seconds fast per month; I also have a Seiko Prospex, that watch is the cheapest of the watches and it runs a minute fast a month; and Tissot can't get their watches to run into the accuracy range of a cheap Seiko?

When I bought my first Tissot it was still owned by Tissot, Tissot is now owned by Swatch which owns a slew of watch brands, so I think the problem is with Swatch, Swatch is like the Walmart of watches, they make junk and sell them in hopes that the marque of old famous brands will keep selling, and they are right about that, they do keep selling, but someday people might catch on.

I’m normally not a fan of large watches but my wife bought this for me while we were in Italy last year as a celebratory gift. Really accurate and not bulky at all.

You're painting with an awfully large brush; Omega, Breguet, Blancpain, etc. are all part of the Swatch group as well. As the current owner of an Omega Speedmaster, I can say it is a joy to wear and own.

Since I lost my 15 year history with my Rolex AD*, I thought I would try something different for now. I am quite impressed with Oris but they, like many others, are raising prices so while the Caliber 400 is interesting, I am not sure I would buy one. Found these "previous collection" watches at steep discounts. I have really been enjoying them.

*The official story is the owner wanted to retire, his children did not want to run it, and he could not sell because Rolex does not allow ADs to transfer the dealership agreement so nobody wanted to buy a few family-owned jewelry stores. The unofficial story is they were struggling with jewelry and non-Rolex watch sales during the pandemic so they started selling to the grey market to raise cash and Rolex found out (which they always do) so they pulled the dealerships and that sent the company into a financial tailspin. Apparently, they even asked Omega to buy back lots of unsold stock.
