It's going to hit 50F tomorrow and I plan to be on my bike ALL FUGGIN DAY LONG and get a nose burn.
This makes me happy puppy giddy glad:

Taking the day off work to go ride with some teammates all weekend. Hoping the mountains don't kill me.
Darren stop listening to the Hillbilly bashing CT radio stations. We have modern weather here, it's always sunny.
61F mid-day and I'm loving it.

60's here already and Im thinking about taking the afternoon off and riding the Ducati over to Daytona for the start of bike week.
Skiing w/the boys all wknd. Very pleased indeed.
you're not the lord of the flies
Wrapped up a big work project yesterday so I'm bailing the office today at noon to get a few hours of rural Heartlandia in. Oh, and it's office Pizza Friday (1st Fri of month) - and even though I can't eat dairy and the shitty pizza is from the Hut, it still has a festive ring to it. Plus, I snag a couple pieces to take home, toss to the kids for an easy dinner, then I take their mother upstairs. "Who ordered the large?"
A good pal just started roasting beans. They're fantastic, and I don't have to pay shipping to get good coffee.
Stitches are out, pathology is clear, I can ride again and I have baseball games to watch this weekend.
I am seeing Vijay Iyar tonight with about ten friends.
It will be 50 degrees tomorrow. I expect I will also be with friends.
GO!
It is 70+ and sunny today, wearing my lightest weight jersey and shorts riding around town. Weather is supposed to last through next week and me and the GF have plans to hang out and BBQ with friends this weekend. No complaints here :)
Suck it, dishes. It's 65° and we got a new toy to play with.

my wife might have realized what I've been subliminally suggesting to her for months now...the crew she's hanging out with now are a bunch of shithead babies and she's too good to hang out with them.
Insubordinate. And Churlish.
first time at the Loaf this weekend - it was killer Friday, Sat and Sunday - worth the 5 hourddrive and sleeping at my buddies "camp" no running water - toilet was a five gallon bucket.
Heading out later to camp, ride bikes, and drink beer with a bunch of like minded folks.
Sunny and 80's here. The wife is taking the kids out of town. I get to futz with bikes, eat steak and drink beer with pals, and do whatever the eff I want for a few days. It's going to be golden.
It's the first full day of spring and the snow tires/wheels are OFF and the Wide Opens/R1Rs are ON!!!!
The Vijay Iyer Trio, "Optimism".
For starters.
Holy shit, I feel like I've been missing something major. Everything I love about post-Velvets rock and roll, but with a level of instrumental mastery - always in service of the music - that stuns me at least once a minute. The piano and drums like some holy combination of a labrador puppy and a sewing machine, the bass loping and grinding underneath. The phrases that repeat and evolve and grow and explode...
Is there more music like this out there? Help me find more bliss.
GO!
