Hi Martin, thanks a lot, yes Dario made the stem, but I'm afraid he uses now Cinelli ones, let's ask him....

The answer is yes....i've got the same beautiful stem on my Luigino! The lugs are made by Darrel McCulloch (Llewellyn bikes from Australia) aka Dazza!

probably.....you've to ask it to Mike Syniard but i don't think he's really involved in bespoke steel bikes anymore....

I have a pretty good idea this is a stupid question, but I can't stop myself from asking it anyway: have you ever fillet brazed steel frames? If not, would you be interested or willing to make the experiment?

Thanks for your great work and inspiring creativity, and for participating in VSalon.
    Ciao
I have tried many years ago to make fillet, I must say that is not the same thing that brazed a lugged frame, it is a different work, my result was awful, it was really ugly.
like every thing you can't improvise anything, you can't think to being able to do a good job in a short time, the good jobs require time, dedication, passion and talent so I preferred to focus my attention on what I better. Despite this,  i look at the  steve garro or dave Kirk  work with great admiration, they perform the fillet with an amazing talent.
    Ciao

I have that stem from Dazza and it's attached to a Llewellyn frame that Dazza made for me a few years ago. The frameset won "Best Paint" at the Richmond show. I have enjoyed it a great deal. Now I am looking forward to a Responsorium from Dario, but first my wife gets one---it's her turn....Dario measured her in Austin, and she should have it soon. Thanks Dario

Another thing that makes me appreciate Dario is that he's able to establish with almost everyone "a link"....i mean, for example, the collaboration with other greatest framebuilders such as richie or dazza....this thing is almost exceptional in Italy where we are more "individualist".....

So here's my question to Dario...which is in your opinion the best collaboration in these years? Don't be shy and tell us....

Merry christmas to everyone here in v-salon!!

perhaps the same lugs builder, but not the same project,Llewellyn doesn't utilize oversized pipes.
