While not a total ripoff, there's definitely an influence. And they don't suck.

I’ve just read through this whole thread, and enjoyed it immensely (with the exception of the tear I shed over Yellow Dog). The segmented stays reminded me of this:

Exactly. I had a red one, too - that's a Race Lite SL, right? Beautiful bikes, and if you look deep made to be built in sub-assemblies - smart. I think the seatstay sleeves on the bonedraggers were bonded - they welded on the dropout & then let the glue set, or so I have heard.
Damn - that one looks cherry. - Garro.

I had a red lite too, (and a green one) though this picture is somthing I poached online: My pictures are all too fuzzy and muddy. I've often thought that those frames paved the way for many design features we consider standard thesedays: Though you'd have much more insight into that than I ever would. The more things change...

    WOW!

Garro, it looks as though you could pound out a few standard frames
in the time and effort it takes to produce one of those rigs and its accessories. A touring system atmo.

    Love the bmw blue.
If those are not functional art, I don't know what is..

Thanks! Yeah - I think you could knock out two no-frills bikes in the same time. like I said - the one has seventy one pieces.
Favourite quote of the week, Mr E. from Winter Cycles: "Dude - never count the pieces........."
Priceless! I laughed at that for days.

So Steve, are your new dropouts Cononino exclusive or will they be available to us mortals?
