    One rib does not a cook make...
    Live and learn mom's oven can and will be kinda / sorta f-ed up.

    Your next will be better, and so on.

    Good for you, many would not attempt a rib, now not a mystery.

    Hope everyone's Prime Rib came out of the oven perfect and guests kept asking for more. I had to withhold enough for lunch today and tomorrow.

    That is how I did mine, including the basting every 20 - 30 minutes. And after the first part at 450, I think I may have actually lowered the temp a little further than they recommended, more like 285. Took a while but it was great.
