Cool ... I live in Topos hometown, so might have a hook up, if you're interested.

I know, I know but Timbuk 2 actually makes a couple that i like. If you want one or the Patagonia previously noted let me know. I will get you a hook up.

If you are seeking a flap-top 30L rucksack that's not expensive, then I would say an army surplus Northern Ireland patrol pack. Not natural material, as they are made of waterproofed cordura. Also, they tend to be in DPM, so if you don't like camo... Anyway, I don't think you can get a more no-nonsense, durable pack for 20 gold coins. Shoes in the side pockets, lid and assorted stuff in the main compartment, passport and boarding passes in the zipped compartment in the flap, bike in the bike bag... Best 20 quid I ever spent.

And it passes the carry-on luggage size test with flying colours, even when examined by Ryanair cnuts.

I'm liking this one - and it served me well at Nahbs.

As far as Messenger Bag, I'm very well sorted with a PAC Designs Ultimate, that really can't be beaten. They don't come cheap, but is money very well spent! Not only it fits better than anything else, is also bombproof.

Thanks, but is overkill. I like things a bit more understated, something "easier" to carry around

You want to go ultimate retro? You can make a Grandma Gatewood over the shoulder sling.

But then she was tougher than anyone on this forum.

Then I should go all the way, and in line from my homeland

Nevermind, on friday I've previewed the new Carradice rucksack: waxed cotton, simple flap over, nice shoulder straps
Looks like a winner for my needs.
