I'll probably head to a local watering hole after work to watch the NY Rangers game 7 with the Caps. If I'm lucky they will have some good locals, my recent favs around the bay are Fort Point Brewing and Cellarmaker, both in SF, and Faction Brewing in Alameda. A new brewery called Fieldwork opened recently in Berkeley and after 2 visits I think they have a lot of potential.
For refrigerator staples I've got some Anchor IPA and Steam and a 12 pack of Sierra Nooner Pils in cans (nice and crisp).

I always forget Oskar Blues makes Old Chub. That stuff's boss. My pals and I have had some unexpected nice times the past few years, thanks to our mate who has consistently kept some Old Chub socked away in our school's lounge on Duke's campus. Come to think of it, his next one's on me ...
Just cracked open a Pinner, and a Bell's Amber awaits.
I've been really enjoying Saison style beers as they kinda taste Belgian without getting me super drunk.
Well yeah, Hennepin will wreck you for sure! I remember when that stuff was $4.50 a bottle.. A bit stronger than the beers I was thinking of. I had a really tasty one on my birthday at a restaurant but I forgot what it was. This stuff from Fort George is pretty tasty but it may not be available where you are? Fort George Brewery » Plazm Farmhouse Ale
Sixpoint Brewery in NY makes an IPA called Hi-Res. It's freakin' fantastic but don't drink very much of it. It's 10.5% to 11% ABV and it will sneak up on you.
Auk's words to live by:
Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
Super local today: Begyle IPA which is brewed less than a mile from my house. It's good but not great. I would rather walk the extra mile to Half Acre and drink anything they have going on there. But the Begyle was hand delivered to my porch by my brother who lives around the corner, so I won't complain too much.
Also today: Three Floyds session ale, Bells Two Hearted, and a Ballast pt Sculpin.
my name is Matt
This is my go-to IPA. BRIDGEPORT - Hop Czar
Here is vsalonista NFazzio enjoying a beer at Bowigen's Brew pub last night. It's cool having a quality place to drink a locally brewed beer. I think we'll be making this a regular Fri or Sat night occurrence.
