The Nakashima Foundation is back to doing tours of the grounds at Nakashima Woodworkers. They've been booking up early and often, but things shake loose occasionally.

You can also still buy one of those tables from Nakashima Woodworkers.

Thanks Jorn. George Nakashima was an incredible artist, craftsman, architect, and furniture designer. He kept to the Japanese reverence and respect for wood and designed with that in mind. His designs were beautiful and second to none. My wife and I visited his shop in Buck's County, PA shortly after he died and his wife was then in charge. Another superb craftsman that has passed was Sam Maloof. His rocking chairs have been copied by many woodworkers.
