I'm reading William Gibson's "Zero History," i found it in a box of ratted out paperbacks. It is all about branding, particularly the pursuit of a brand that is so secret and exclusive that only the chosen few get to own it. And only the hippest folks know about it.
Gibson has had to look for new hooks, since all the cyber-stuff that characterized his early novels is now part of our day-to-day lives. I'm getting some ideas from Zero History - basically, how to brand a low-volume, highly individualized "product."
