Besides which I had an external interview (for a sustainability role with a massive global company)

Sometimes I have conversations with friends along the lines of "if you weren't doing this, what would you be doing?" and I'd say 75+% have a Plan B in sustainability or green energy. It's only going to grow, and it's a broad enough sector that there's something for just about every skillset to do. Good luck!
