Just a check in. I'm excited and happy to help supply folks with stems and forks to finish off that special build. I'm also honored when other builders send their clients to me for these items. I won't call out names here, but in the last two weeks I have been excited to have other builder friends send clients to me for stems, forks and today for a couple of complete bikes. I'm excited that this has been happening with increasing regularity. I'll do my best to honor the privilege of the recommendation with the best products I can make to meet those needs. Thanks, folks.

I met Ian from Rouleur Magazine at my first Bespoked show. He and Andy later did a little NW tour and stopped by the old shop in Eugene and wrote a fun piece that was first release in the print magazine. Ian just sent over a note that the article made it to their web release- if you missed it the first round here is your chance. Thanks, Rouleur!

Eric, I can't wait to see more pics of this beauty :

That integrated bar is really nice :

I suppose it must be a hard job to bend those custom bar exactly the same way/radius at both ends ?

Thanks! I can't take credit for the bar bend- I use a couple of traditional track bends depending on the need. That set up is pretty killer- I'll have the bike on display here in Bristol and will get a full gallery up on my return.

Speaking of Bristol, I think I have the stand sorted for later today. If any of you are in Bristol over the weekend, please say hello!

I had a great time at this year's Bespoked: Bristol. While there I met with Katie Bilboa for Monocle's web radio show "The Entrepreneurs".

The show will be live at 7pm BST (ie in just over an hour) here: Monocle 24 (Radio)
If you miss it, you can listen again after here: The Entrepreneurs - Monocle 24 (Radio) / Shows

I teased a few photos of the "Velvet Hammer" track bike in this weeks FNL.

You can see my full web gallery here, as well as a bit of Cycle Exif coverage that just went up. The full flickr set, including construction shots, can be seen here.

I love the full rando builds, but it's fun to do a straight up race bike now and again. If you are interested in something similar, be it track, road or mixed terrain, I'd love to continue with some of these touches.

    Day maker emails:

"I’m really enjoying the new bike! The fit and ride are as beautiful as the looks. It’s smooth and responsive; the ride with weight on the front is revelatory. I've been commuting on it this week and A. and I got out for 20 miles after work today.".

A friend came by and did some sorting for me- he cleaned up the small parts drawers and added labels. So nice.

Edinburgh castle. End of journey after 240 miles. My new @winterbicycles ride behaved perfectly.

I figured this weeks FNL only needed so many views of a freshly brazed BB shell, but this one seems popular on Flickr, so I thought I'd post it here.

And a little detail work of the collar cluster in process:

A few more fun detail shots from the Peregrinator. This is a full Di2/ Hydro build with some White Ind, Schmidt, Cane Creek, 650b love. RuthWorks custom luggage mounted to my racks. Beautiful blue on blue paint, box and lug lining by Keith Anderson.

Look for it cruising in TX later this summer.

You can see some other shots over and details at The Radavist, too.

Some details- this is a different one, but with a similar paint scheme.

I got my start as a production brazer, and with these recent builds I've had a chance to step back and do a similar day of higher volume.

In this series of 12 shots you are seeing the raw work (including the activated flux). The snaps were taken between steps when things were hot, and shows 6 BB clusters and 6 head tube shots from the frames brazed that morning.

It's a little glimpse at my approach, but also hopefully a look at the consistency between fillets and between frames.
