4 pieces of vintage Heywood Wakefield furniture, some from the 50s for $400 at the Salvation Army store. Bed, Dresser with mirror, bedside table, and a step down, corner table.
Yeah, ok, it isn't Friday, but I just replaced the clutch pack and thrust bearing on my motorbike. Is there anything nicer than working on your motorbike in the driveway on a warm spring evening?
Spending all day with a telephone glued to my ear is made tolerable by the 30 miles of bliss my Zank and I experienced while the sun was rising.

I'm not afraid to tell you that listening to the Beatles and Queen makes me tap my foot.
Oh well.
*It is friday in OZ.

I found 4 Carlin records on the side of the road on cleanup week.
I'm racing on gravel this weekend and seeing good friends who live too far away.
It's almost Friday where I live and I'm going back there tomorrow. That makes me happy.
my wife and kids are totally fucking awesome
and hey, for a bunch of total strangers on the internet, you guys are pretty great too*
* just dont ask to meet up in real life, lure me into your van, and make a wind chime out of my genitalia
Fun relatives inbound from another country. Two half days due to Cubs day games upcoming, and 3 total Cubs games in the next ten days. Two of which are against my Yanks. And it's hot here!
my name is Matt
Florida man + van... Be afraid.
First 50/50 morning of the year (55 degree air temp, 50 degree dew point), I'm WFH with the Pig on the radio and I'm going to be WFH from the road for maybe an hour and a half after the first thunderstorms of the year wander past. The little cat is screwing the teddy bear loudly and there's a skunk rooting grubs in the back yard. The coffee's hot, too. It doesn't get much better than this.
Some quality mileage this week. Interesting stuff going on at work. Going camping with the family this weekend. If Tom could pour me a cup of that coffee, I wouldn't have a single complaint.
Voting hasn't even begun this morning, but I'm about to take home top (plop?) prize in my company's annual cookie contest.
I missed the boat on the help losing 20 pounds thread, but I'm officially half way through a 30 pound loss goal that began on my birthday in early April. Started from an undisciplined mostly vegetarian diet with a shocking amount of cheese and cookies to dropping all dairy and sugar, and added an easy 30 minute wake up run to my fixie commute (originally for my mood, and for something weight-bearing cause my joints aren't getting younger, and hey, there's cross in the fall so can't hurt). 161 lbs > 180 lbs using the new math. The shit they say about casein and sugar addictions are true in my case- no more cravings after the 3rd week or so- I took a sniff of my favorite manchego that I used to inhale and--- meh. I'm eating too much dried fruit and almonds but cutting myself slack on that for now. 15 pounds or so to go.
It's Friday and the kickoff to Mother's Day Weekend (yes that's how we roll for Mom). The first adventure is to hop on Orlando's new Double Decker wifi enabled commuter train for a ride into downtown for $2 tacos and beers at Gringos Locos.
Hellish week of travel, and its not over yet, but I'm moving in the direction of home.
Ended my week in Orlando. The Lancaster Park neighborhood south of downtown does not suck.
"As an homage to the EPOdays of yore- I'd find the world's last remaining pair of 40cm ergonomic drop bars.....i think everyone who ever liked those handlebars in that shape and in that width is either dead of a drug overdose, works in the Schaerbeek mattress factory now and weighs 300 pounds or is Dr. Davey Bruylandts...who for all I know is doing both of those things." - Jerk
