Blow up and pin a picture of M. Bartoli on your wall. When you achieve that position, stop. Until then, stretch, ride, stretch, ride, eat less, and ride more.
Suck it grumps, I set PRs on my 2 main training courses this week.
The numbers aren't that impressive, just the deltas. It feels great to kick your own ass.
Trying to get back in the early morning routine, which also means getting to bed earlier. Successful today and grabbed a 30 mile spin before I head out to a client this afternoon. Plan on getting home in time to hang with the family and enjoy a lazy Friday afternoon.
I don't blame you, I'd want to get the f' outta FL too. Just stay there long enough to ride with me when I come to visit my grandmother in Fort Lauderdale. I guess I'll need help to find a loaner 58-60cm road bike too.
How can I turn my grump into a positive for Friday?
The trees and grass have received plenty of rain to grow healthy the last couple of mornings and all this lightening must be generating some electricity for something.

Vacation planning. Everything is finally coming together.
That is roughly a 45 mile ride, and the little black houses are (per strict French translation) "tasting of oysters".

for two weeks I've been worried about our prime contractor losing a contract and therefore me losing my job. Today I found out that my boss was planning on keeping me on salary regardless of the contract. It's a small bit of job security but it helps my nerves going into the weekend.
Insubordinate. And Churlish.

They say this is the last day before the locker room is back in service. I can start forgetting how many closing-time crappers share my building.

Having a nice day reading lots of random threads. My dog is in the office to cheer me and everyone else up. I decided I'm going to get a new bike this weekend. My wife said that I can buy as many bikes as I want (she has no idea the mistake she made). It is a good day.
GO!
I just handed off a repainted frame with a new fork to a client. Nothing is more satisfying than making someone happy.
Just booked travel for 3 weeks in Maine with the family this summer while I am in between jobs.
Been cleaning up the Kid bike some more.
Why? I wanted to go back to a bike that fits and I'm not going to miss those 6 extra speeds and 2 fewer pounds. I noticed the front rim was a bit off center after checking the dish and making that perfect, I filed out the paint in the dropouts until the rim was centered. I just did it out of OCD, but by golly I think it rides better now. Definitely better behaved no hands.
Anyway, my point is... Today was a major grump until I got out on that bike. Yay Bikes as someone here likes to say.

so much less shitty!
looks all bubbly because it was still lightly smeared with cutting fluid, or at least that's why i think it is.
either way, i'm stoked, it was a great experience, and when i move out to cincinnati i'm going to try and keep going with it. there's a place called the manufactory that just opened up in february that has the same mission as artisan's asylum so i'll be going there likely.
yay!
