I second the motion on the previous comments pertaining to The Queen’s Gambit and Anya Taylor-Joy was spectacular.

The Night Stalker documentary series on Netflix. The Chicano detective is a lovable, corny weirdo. Knowing that an individual like that was part of the proverbial
    Thin Blue Line is terrifying.

Shetland...started watching on a whim based on a friend’s recommendation and now I’ve got my brogue on...closed caption definitely required unless you’re a Scot.

If you like Shetland, you'll also like Hinterland, a similar show set in Northern Wales.

    I watched that recently - it's excellent.

Enjoyed the first and only season currently available of Resident Alien on SyFy channel.
    A fun watch.

We signed on to the Disney+ app on AppleTV for the Mandalorian series, and I just figured out that someone (me) forgot to cancel the subscription. So I started watching the new Loki series, which is part of the Marvel/Disney cosmos. It is actually kind of good. Enjoyable at least, with just enough for the brain and good enough drama that it keeps typical wry comic-book humor chuckle-worthy.

I've also been watching this famous Turkish series that showed up on Netflix - Resurrection: Ertuğrul. It is pretty obviously a propaganda product, but I can think of a number of similar origin-historical-mythologies that function similarly for other countries & religions (Oh Moses, Moses, Moses...) that border on merely being entertaining. Also might be that one of the female characters could be the twin of my high school girlfriend, but that's probably entirely possible for anyone since the cast seems to be pretty large. Anyway, good in small doses.

We have Disney+ (3 kids) and I started watching Wanda Vision when it was released but couldn't get into it. Then I went and started watching all the Marvel movies (I had seen Black Panther numerous times but nothing else) and ripped through most of them over the winter (the Thors and Guardians films were most enjoyable), after which Wanda Vision made more sense. Not quite binge-able but very good.

Loki has been fun to watch. Ditto the Falcon and Winter Soldier.

Wandavision started off strong but then turns to OK. I like the weirdness and not knowing what is going on of the first 4 episodes.

Falcon was good but some of the buddy cop stuff was forced and stupid. I heard that part of the original plot had some kind of virus involved but they cut it all because they were releasing in 2020. Supposedly the bad guys would have had more context and development if that was in there.

    Loki has been fun.

If you haven't seen Ted Lasso on Apple get to it. The second season comes out in a couple weeks. It is a great show built on a stupid premise. Easily the most binge-able series I can think of.

Didn't read the whole thread, but if Call My Agent (netflix) hasn't been already listed, I thought it was hilarious if you're a Francophone or OK with subtitles. (Attn: Jorn- good French language practice including the off-color idioms you REALLY want to know when dealing with Parisiennes...) Paris talent agency sit-com that includes a different French celebrity playing a caricature of themselves in each episode. Sort of a mix of Mad Men, The Office, and Entourage.

The new Netflix documentary 14 Peaks: Nothing is impossible

I am not sure if this counts, as it is a single film not a series, but you can always watch it more than once.

The contents are summarised in the BBC article https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/59482665

Hawkeye on Disney+ has started okay too - similar to the other Marvel series. I enjoyed the Get Back documentary too - only 3 episodes but it adds up to about 8 hours.
It's not the years, honey. It's the mileage.

Watched the Netflix series Gloria. Historically interesting spy series. Laid back tension but not intense. Not entirely believable body count. Impossibly high and no one seems to notice. Huh, Fred's gone. Oh well. But the period is towards the end of the Salazar regime in Portugal during their colonial wars in "Lusophone" Africa, and when the US and Soviets were using any opportunity to fight proxy battles wherever the opportunity presented itself. 1968-69. Gloria is the name of the town in Portugal where Radio Free Europe has a transmitting station, so the series doesn't take place in Africa, but lovely scenery, certain level of mystery, and interesting cars(!)

I feel like Letterkenny kinda lost its mojo over the last couple seasons.

    But before that? Woo boy.

I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything quite like it.

You can add 'Last Mountain' on the BBC iplayer and you have a twofer.
Then we will count it as a series.

Saw the new iteration of Matrix.

Early crazy/not crazy yin/yang push/pull of the movie was interesting. But then they didn't seem to know what to do with it. Would have been better if they pushed the conceit through the entire film. But instead they had to get to do some flying.

I did like seeing older Neo and older Trinity.
