For custom leather watch straps I definitely recommend Aaron at Combat Straps - HOME
ps. I treat my leather watch straps with Brooks Proofide.
Thanks DrZ. Yes it's a 756 with the ice-hardened case. Tough as a Tank.
Love the Sinn, LOVE the straps. Bookmarked.
any recommendations for an aftermarket silicone rubber strap for the Sinn above? it is going to get hot soon = sweat.
nope, need 20mm. the Sinn straps are available at watchbuys.com but I'm not feeling up to spending $120/strap right now.
what are you guys using for spring bar tools?
...eh, just ended up having nice watch shop guy doing it for $5.
Someone send me something well-loved to go with this:

Recently got the bonetto italian rubber strap for a Seiko watch. The smooth rubber smells of vanilla even after 2 months of pretty heavy use (the big one was riding 500 miles in 5 days and never washing the watch band. Could never do that with a NATO). One added bonus is that the watch holes on the band are not poked out (but there are guides poked halfway through) so when you put on the watch band for the first time it looks clean. I also needed an 18mm so it was a particularly hard search finding nice Italian rubber - definitely feels heaftier than any silicone strap I've come across and cost me $30.
I run the rubber strap exclusively on my PAM177, it's Ti, so it matches pretty well with the look of the watch. I never jived with the croc strap, I still have it in the box. I've been looking at some pretty sweet leather straps made from WW2 ammo bags, really great patina and colors. Just haven't gotten around to it yet...
Just yesterday I ordered a NATO strap for my Luminox (on which I had an old resin strap salvaged from a dead HRM).
Got it from Crown and Buckle that has a very nice Web Site
You can't beat less than $15 shipped. (made in Australia) They also have leather options.
Leather watch straps (and belts) hand made in Portland, Oregon. Haven't tried one, but they look good.
